I’m 3 Jacks and Coke and one sweet 19 pt ride of ecstacy.
My life-long BBall friend, Perk, and I — emotionally spent. As if we had played the game.
Tonight, a blissed game dream.
Saturday: A blissed Dream game.
9:57am Friday
Now
one game
anything can happen.
An epic game in U of L history–whichever way it falls.
Big, big talent on both sides and coaches at the peak of their games.
Yes, a game I’ve waited for many,many, MANY years…
Just for the fun of it, think I’ll go goof with some of the Davidson students just down the road, today.
Wish you all were down here with us!
Frank

Yep. It was challenging finding Woodford–but resourceful Kentuckian that I am– I finally found the gold.
It’s going to be a doozy. Looks like Vegas likes Carolina by 6 or so.
I say, one game: anything can happen.
We have the raw talent to match up (unlike 2005 which did it with sheer will and skill).
Let’s get it on!

I guess you’re like a warrior drinking the blood of your victims, down there drinking that Tennesee whiskey. You should be more prepared, with a bottle of some good aged Pappy Van Winkle, or at least some good Woodford. Louisville was prepared on Friday, and it showed in the stats. They had 20 turnovers, the only team to beat TN with that high number. The reasons were many, domination on the boards, excellent free throws, and a killer defense. An unsung stat I havent seen was the 6 to 10 blocks that Earl Clark had. Overall, a very good game, but they will have to raise it another level for the Tarheels. Like Davidson did today. They run their whole offense around one player, even though they definitely play better as a team than most. Louisville’s balance will also be a key against NC. They need balance with Padgett and Caracter to shut down Tyler Hansbrough, and they must somehow turn Lawson into a mortal. If the Cards make it to the end of regulation with any chance of a victory, Pitino deserves an espy. No one except Steve Lavin is predicting a possible Louisville victory, and NC has not been challenged in this tourney. So it will be a thriller, and if the Cards can find a few heros (one will not do), then they can make this a very, very memorable year. The Cards have the ability to beat NC on a given Saturday, and if they do on this one, they will win their final four matchup and play for the championship. And that is all any basketball team or fan could want.
