Time for a Spanking…

Yes, it’s time.

Still shell-shocked by last year’s season-long debacle — and facing a less-than-epic tilt between U of L and UK teams projected to be mid-echelon at best  in their conferences — my mind has easily resisted the temptation of peering into that dark Pandora’s box of mystery that is this year’s Card team.

But….I finally had to take a peek.

It wasn’t so bad.

It wasn’t so good, either.

Like any Greek myth, it was murky to decipher, and still rests on the whims of the gods.

For example, this first game…. I see fire and flames.

But does that reflect the intensity of the game, or the new fire in this year’s Card team — or the temperature of K’s “seat?”

I also see 7 fluffy clouds. With our cushy schedule of 8 home games, I’m thinking this means 7 wins.

That’s all I saw — I didn’t have time to see more. Like Pandora, I was smart enough to shut the box quickly to retain the most important thing for us: Hope.
