One Response to “NCAA Toughest Places To Play– #7 Freedom Hall”
Good stuff and great photos as usual, Frankie. We did have one “Bag Krag” in our section of the “Crunch Zone”…which was reduced to the “Empty Candy Bar Wrapper” by the 4th quarter. We attend the games with 10 other people. we all sit in the same section, and by the end of the 3rd quarter, Paul and I were the only two of the twelve still there.
Then, the fight almost broke out. A deragatory Kragthorpe sign being displayed. Anger about it from a beer fueled fan. Words and tempers rising. Paul staggering to his feet to play “Steve Wilkos” and stand between the four disputees (one a girl) and talk them off the ledge. Nobody messes with “the big guy” and what could have been an ugly scene six rows from the field disintergrated into handshakes and apologies.
