Louisville 80 Fairleigh Dickinson 58

Posted by frankpos on December 14, 2011

Fairleigh Dickinson (was he related to Emily?) showed up, and we beat  ‘em.

That’s about all you need to know about this game, as we overwhelmed an underwhelming team.

Gorgui Dieng recorded his second straight double-double, and Coach Pitino singled him out again as the player who is standing out right now in his mind.

George Goode steps aside as Peyton Siva steps on the gas. George looked good in his return, and the fans showed their appreciation , even as he dropped a double-double on us in the losing cause.

Oh, George Goode made a triumphant return, and dropped a double-double on us, in a losing cause.

And our concentration in the first half particularly, against a zone and an over -matched team, didn’t waver as it did against IUPUI last game.  We stepped on the gas and kept it there , until Rick called in the reserves.

And now …Memphis St. comes to The Bucket for the first time in 7 years.  Yum !

Oh, yeah....the Ladybirds wanted to say "hi"..............
