Can't provide much detail but from a .pdf file available at the UL site, this much can be had:

In 1967-68 UL played then #10 Boston College (on a neutral site - probably MSG) and won 81-74.

The next year UL again played BC in the NIT at MSG. Winning a preliminary game against Fordham 73-70 in the first game and losing to then #16 BC 83-88 in the next game.

Sorry, I can find no other details though some may be in other sections of that comprehensive history at www.ulsports.com

Crecia, thanks for dropping by and sharing that memory.

I created that area because I thought it would bring a smile to many faces of Card fans–young and old–and remind them of our history.

Roz, as always I appreciate your stopping in, and your comments.

CardsLady, Zach, and Alex– Thanks, also. I think we missed a golden opp to get to the Final 4 this yr with the men. The ladies actually showed the men how guts and humility will get you far…

<B> I am thrilled to see all these memories online, I was a teenager when they won in the 80's. My mother graduated for U of L and raised us to enjoy Louisville Basketball. I remember her sitting in front of the television scream "SHOOT THE BALL!" I am proud to say we are huge fans of our Cards win lose or draw. I have several of my mothers U of L shirts from the 80's I drug them out shook them off tossed them in the wash and prayed they would bring us good luck this year. Although they lost and didn't take it all the way our Cards looked great all year long and the memories passed down from my mother I am passing on to my girls. Maybe one day they will drag out my shirts and yell at the TV doing me and their Granny very proud. I love all your photos and newspaper clippings, my how time flies.

I watched a Louisville - Boston College game at MSG which went into, at least, double overtime. Wes Unseld, time and time again kept Louisville in the game until he fouled out in the last overtime, and BC won. Game must have been played in the 67-68 season, but maybe it was played a year earlier.

If anybody has the box score or any other detail of that game, please share it with me. To me it was the most impressive college basketball I ever watched as a spectator.
